Dr. Bornstein grew up in Lakeville, MA. He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh Medical School and graduated as an Alpha Omega Alpha (National Medical Honor Society) member in 1999. He spent his pediatric residency training at Children’s Memorial Hospital (Northwestern University) in Chicago. Before joining Middleboro Pediatrics in October 2005, he worked as a pediatric hospitalist in a community teaching hospital in Chicago and one year as a hospital-based pediatrician in New Zealand. Dr. Bornstein lives in Easton, MA, with his wife and two children in Easton, M. Dr. Bornstein has a particular interest in headache management, literacy promotion, and the influence of media on children.

Bornstein’s father had started Middleboro Pediatrics 46 years ago and was now a fixture in the community. The practice’s four physicians and three nurse practitioners serve approximately 4,600 children. They are medical consultants to seven districts’ school systems and child care and summer camp programs at multiple local YMCA branches. The nonprofit Massachusetts Health Quality Partners has repeatedly recognized it for excellence in pediatric preventative care.
